There's no place like home...
That's right kids we're in Kansas.
Last night was surreal. We played Sauget Illinois. If I were to
write a travel guide of American this is how the chapter on
Sauget would read...."Keep Driving"

Sauget (miraculously it's not an anglophone pronunciation)
is right across the bridge from St. Louis. All the industry and
the seven strip clubs/gambling halls are owned by a family
bearing the same name as the place. It's an industrial waste
land where there are no liquor laws, 24 hour bars etc. It also
seems to be the central power grid for St. Louis.

We played at a club called POP's.

Right next store was one of Sauget's finer establishments
where we had dinner. The strip clubs here are unique in
that it's a full contact sport.

Before the show I had to do a little maintenance on the Spirit
which was rather a sticky mess after the Dallas show.

It was one of those days where there is little to do but wander
about and take photo's. And watch the merch guy trash his
truck. I'm not sure if was having a bad day. Didn't ask...

I got this great shot of Otto and Skully (One of our technicians)
back stage just before Otto's set. Skully has been a part
of the SP camp since 1988 and is responsible for a variety
of colourful nicknames and phrases such as "Bring the Metal..."
(and no i didn't spell colourful wrong, I'm Canadian)
According to Skully that's my job in SP. To "Bring The Metal".
Let me see both horns in the air baby.....

I obviously slept on my new tattoo the other night. When I
woke up there was this lovely imprint on my pillow. Shades
of the 'Shroud Of Turin". Maybe I should have kept it and
called it the 'Shroud of Touring" ooooo, now that is a
really bad joke.

Props to Jessica and her boyfriend who took me to the
Diamond club after the show and got me far too drunk.
There was no way i could have pulled out a camera in that
place. Did i mention that stripping was a full contact sport
in Sauget?
